Fees and booking.
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, so I aim to make the practical side as simple as possible.
Fees
Sessions are £45 for 50 minutes. Payment is made by bank transfer. Payment details and arrangements will be discussed when we agree to work together. Limited student and concessional rates are available.
Making an enquiry
If you’re considering counselling, you’re welcome to get in touch using the contact form or by email.
You don’t need to know exactly what you want to talk about, and there’s no pressure to commit to counselling simply because you make an enquiry. We can briefly discuss what you’re looking for and whether I might be the right counsellor for you.
If we decide to work together, we’ll arrange a regular session time where possible and I’ll provide you with the information you need before your first session.
Your first session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and for you to begin exploring what has brought you to counselling.
We can talk about what you hope to gain from counselling and agree how we might work together. You don’t need to prepare anything beforehand or have everything figured out.
Online counselling
I offer online counselling using doxy.me, a secure video platform that allows you to attend sessions from a private space where you feel comfortable.
You’ll need a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone. I recommend finding somewhere private where you can speak freely without being overheard.
Cancelling or rearranging a session
I understand that sometimes circumstances change and you may need to cancel an appointment. I ask for 24hr notice where possible.
Sessions cancelled with less notice, or missed without notice, may be charged at the full session fee. Full details of my cancellation policy will be explained before we begin counselling.
If you’re unsure about anything, please feel free to ask. There’s no need to have all the answers before getting in touch.
If you think counselling might be helpful, you’re welcome to take the first step and make an enquiry.
